You can minimize any application in your Nokia s40 device!
Here are the steps that you need to follow to do so:
Step1) Open any application, lets say "Calender"
Step2) Now, in order to minimize it, press and hold down "+ Volume" button of your cell phone (if available). Now application will now be minimized. i.e., it will disappear from the screen.
Step3) Again to maximize it, or to open it, press and hold the "Volume -" key of your phone.
